Installation

To put client into use, it is necessary to complete some procedures.

Step-to-step Guide

1. Download the desktop client

To get started, download the appropriate version of the ARGs Desktop Client for your platform. Please note that during the development stage, new versions of the client will be uploaded periodically. It is recommended to check for newer versions regularly.

Latest Version: /args-desktop/dist/desktop/latest/version.txt

By downloading and using the Software, you agree to the Software Agreement at this link.

2. Move to desired place and run ARGs Desktop

Windows

Place the client into desired place, and the folders storing configuration and your outputs will be saved on %APPDATA%\args-desktop. You should be able to see the interface once you run the ARGs Desktop.

MacOS

You are encouraged to drag the ARGs Desktop.app into your Applications folder, and the folders storing configuration and your outputs will be saved on ~/Library/Application Support/args-desktop. You will be asked to add ARGs Desktop into the whitelist, so go to settings -> security, and select “Trust” for the ARGs Desktop. You should now be able to open ARGs Desktop.

Linux

You can feel free to place the ARGs Desktop into your desired location, and the folders storing configuration and your outputs will be saved on ~/.config/args-desktop. After adding execute permission (e.g. chmod +x "./ARGs\ Desktop"), you will be able to see the interface once you run it.

3. Setup environment and Configure ARGs Desktop

4. ARGs Desktop is Ready to use!

You are now ready to use the in-built modules of ARGs Desktop. For usage, please go to the Modules Page.
